Accessibility Policy

Last updated: 18 August, 2026

Great travel journalism should be accessible to everyone.

The Archipelago website and content across social platforms has been designed to be as accessible and inclusive as possible, regardless of ability, technology or circumstance. Decisions are made with continually approving accessibility best practices in mind.

You’ll find:

  • Clear headings and logical page structures

  • Readable typography and colour contrast

  • Support for keyboard navigation and assistive technologies where possible

  • Content that is clear, well-structured and easy to navigate

Accessibility Coverage

Coverage may include specific articles about accessibility in certain locations, alongside measures attractions / experiences take to maximise inclusivity for all abilities. The experiences of visitors are researched comprehensively and aim to include real-world experiences when it comes to the strengths and weaknesses of destinations, attractions etc in terms of accessibility. Where possible, people with accessibility requirements have been interviewed or consulted to gain the most accurate picture of a destination’s true accessibility.

Audio Content and Screen Readers

Archipelago’s written content is readable by screen readers and AI voice systems. Audio versions of certain articles and the Archipelago travel podcast are also in the works.
